Option of a singlespeed with my MuXl

I would like to get a wheel for the rear so I can use it as a singlespeed and would like a recommendation for a wheel and source. This way I will have SS and a geared bike when needed. Thank you.

Couldn't you, like, just leave it in one gear?

I suppose the joy of SS bikes is losing all that hardware on the back wheel, but then you gotta store all the extra hardware, viz and to whit - one spare wheel, cog-swappers, cables and tools - someplace else . :-)

You'll also need a shorter chain unless you're going to leave the cog-swapper on as a tensioner.

Of course, the MU XL is an 8spd hub gear bike, so swapping wheels should be pretty easy and should be a significant weight loss ..

I've got a brand new Velocity flip flop 36h high flange hub that could be laced into something cool... shoot me a pm if anyone is interested...
