Which folding bike dealer to go with?

Hey everyone,

Has anyone here ordered a folding bike from Rapid Transit Cycleshop in the past? If so, was the customer service on par? I am planning on buying a folding bike in the near future and want to buy from a trusted vendor that is known to have good customer service. I did a search on the forums and NYCE wheels came up a lot. If anyone could shed some light on this matter I would appreciate it. Thanks.

you might want to check THORUSA.com. he is a regular member here and he can ship anywhere. check out his site as he has some bikes on closeout sale.

If you are interested in Dahon, I would also recommend ThorUSA, he handled my inquiries very well and was knowledgeable about his product.

Seems to rate pretty high with customers per online rating - definitely a good choice of brands - Dahon, Bike Friday, Brompton & Birdy - per website.

Thanks for the replies. I probably should specify that I am leaning towards the Brompton right now. I've test ridden both Dahon and Brompton bikes, and like the Brompton more. The only disadvantage to the Rapid Transit Cycleshop is the lack of prices.

how about the Bike Friday - have you considered it ? it's seems a good bike also. although i agree that Brompton fold is the smallest among the bunch....
