Time to PART WAYS with my beloved FOLDERS...... it was a fun ride.

hi all,

i might have titled it incorrectly that is why i am not getting any hits. anyway it's time to part ways with my folders - my 3 beloved folders that are now all listed @ CL. my beloved Dahon Curve D3 in immaculate condition, my 2007 Dahon MU XL with 8 speed Shimano Nexus IGH Redline in excellent condition with it's original tires, and my BF Tikit Hyperfold model 2008 (the bike that changed my perspective with folders - ride like a true bike). if anyone wants to buy them please PM me.

hey sesamecrunch - i still want your IGH ok. as what you have said before - it's nice to have something in your bin to pull out just in case.

thanks guys - it was a nice, lovely and fun ride,
vic

REASON for getting rid of them is not because i don't like biking anymore, it's not that i am getting old, it's not health, personal, monetary issue or anything but something i wish i could say....who knows i might be back with a 2010 Alex Moulton (i wish). in any case you guys will know it first.

that might be my problem - i can only have 3 hour's or so of sleep every day. i will go to bed 12 or 12:30 and will wake up @ 3:45 to get ready for my 4:15 bike ride on my way to work.

nekohime,

i still have the will to ride my bikes and the enthushiasm. in fact i was really looking forward to this summer to ride my bikes. i still have some bike parts on order and waiting for them but it's just this thing. every single day i will go to the garage and check all my bikes - i meant every single day. and at night i will wipe them all clean including the tires. that's how dedicated i am to all my bikes. they are all well taken cared of. it's just this thing....

my Tikit Hyperfold is Medium size and 800 for my fellow members. this had only about 200 miles usage and bike in like new condition.

thanks,
vic

Vmaniqui,

I hope everything is really ok, don't let "whatever" it is, force you to make decisions you might regret later..... keep one bike at least.

Sometimes we all need a break......

thanks stevegor. really appreciate it. we'll see hot it goes. as you know it's this spur of the moment decision. you know how it is when you're really so mad and then you just want to say forget it - i will sell all to make someone happy. although i know that i will really regret it in the end. you know how it is right now - it's hard to sell even one bike for me so who knows they might all end up with me but honestly i wish i could sell even one bike - my MU XL. if i can do that everyone i think will be happy. i posted the 3 bikes and of those i just got 3 hits. and that is almost for a week's ads.

Hmmm, what's better?

A fanatical guy who loves his bikes and stays happy and healthy or a grumpy guy who is forced, under duress, to sell his obsession?

Surely some sort of agreeable compromise can be arranged, maybe cut back a bit on the obsession. Just don't get caught hiding behind the garden shed looking at folding bike magazines..... after midnight.

Selling three folders is quite a mind-boggling move! Perhaps this is a cleansing stage, and that there will be a rebirth of folderitis soon. Good luck vmanqui, I hope everything pans out well.

Ah, so it's not loss of will to ride but a certain someone forcing the sell-off? That sucks terribly. But remember, bikes ARE replaceable...

Normally I don't poke my nose into other people's biz, but you did post this on the WWW. Life is too short to live it w/o passion, and anyone who forces another to give up their's, is not worth keeping around. Sorry if this comes across offensively b/c it is not meant to be. Sometimes I feel its more respectful to be honest than polite.

you guys are so funny. yes - there was this inner peace nope it's outer destruction (did i say it right) that forced my shaking hands to searched for our friend Craig. we'll see how it goes. i am getting some hits with the BF and MU is almost gone but the Curve is still available though. but honestly i appreciate your advices and quotes. eventhough i am at this cleansing process it's making me laugh reading your inputs. keep riding my forum friends.....and ride like a wind.....

There's no way you can't find room for one folding bike. Keep the tikit, you were so excited about getting it. You can practically fit it in your pocket.
