Saw another Folder
Do any of you get an extra thrill when you see another folder? I see so few on my commute on the Mount Vernon and Four Mile Run trails that I do. I've been to two Bike to Work day pit stops without seeing any folder but my own.
Today, I hit the jackpot. A guy in mostly work clothes on a Brompton passed me under the 14th street bridge. I yelled a greeting and he gave me a thumbs up before disappearing onto the ramp to cross the bridge into Washington. And I was already following a woman on a folder way ahead of me, who I'd spotted near the airport. She was riding what looked like a black folder with 16" wheels, and panniers on the rear. I never got close enough to identify what kind of bike it was.

Some pictures. Also of the Black tikit I returned because of a minor frame problem (broken braze-on). The very first picture is of the black tikit in front of the yellow wall at Big Wheel Bikes, Old Town.
I see various Dahons, Bike Friday NWTs, and Bromptons on the Mt. Vernon: never another tikit tho. :-(

Yes! I think the most excited I got was when I saw Frank Jackson's custom dahon on the Metro. Ooooh, such a nice bike.
