Triffic pix. Great!
|
thank you.My only problem with the bike is pedals.I used to cycle with spd pedals and these traditional pedals are not for me :) so i am gonna change them to spds but i wonder how can i effectively take them out the originals are easy to take out before folding
|
This, is less than helpful :(
|
:( bad news.Than i will use the old fashioned way http://www.universalcycles.com/image...large/7045.jpg

Very nice bike and very shiny, Since you are using a touring bike for work I guess you won't have problems knowing where to strap your bags onto :).
|
very nice. Nice pictures also.
|
I'd keep trying the flat pedals for a couple weeks...I used to ride only clipless and now I only ride platform pedals....it takes a little while to get used to it.
|
The 'Old Way' allows one to be strapped in while wearing Gucci loafers. :)
|
Nice!
Dersan, how tall are you and what is your inseam? I have not pulled the trigger on a TR due to having issues with a saddle to pedal length in the 38" range. Getting a bike to fit properly is fairly important to me. Aaron :) |
thank you all :)
i am 1.76 tall but i have a friend whom 2.05 tall and he fits perfectly to his speed tr.I highly recommend this bike.Another problem wtih the bike is cycle computer i can not find a good cycle computer which has longer wire all the modelsi have seen are short wired. And wireless ones not working good cause of poor signal.I dont trust iphones applications. |

It also allows you easily change to regular pedals, no tools required. http://www.thorusa.com/dahon/accessories/pedals.htm I have used the MKS clipless for more than a year now and am very happy with them. Kam |

dersan,
I have a Speed TR with SPD's. I can't recall the model number but they are the double sided ones that are pretty small. I just leave them in. It doesn't affect the fold or size profile at all in my opinion. John |
beautiful bike!
|
thanks john for the info.I will today install my spare spds i hope they will fit.

Hello Dersan
welcome to the fold .... let us know where you from ..... reason is that this Speed TR is a global model, not available in the USA. Just want to make sure nobody feels cheated or gets upset when the 2010 US model Speed TR does not have the Altos Stem and does not have the Light and hub generator ..like yours .. :-) Great pics Thor |

i am from turkey istanbul way way away from you :) The stem is generally good but needs adjusting and tightening if you ride in harsh surfaces. But one thing i like about altos stem is you can configure it as if road bike lower angle thats very good cause i am very used to road bikes :)
