Jetstream p8 questions

Hey Guys

I have some questions regarding the Jetstream p8

1) Where can i get a kickstand that will fit? I went to my LBS they didn't have anything

2) Where do I get a book rack and fender?

3) being new to folding bikes, What's the basic maintenance that I need to do on a regular basis?

4) where do i get parts if things starts to wear out or break off? specially the suspensions, because it doesn't look like the typical parts I would see on my LBS

5) Are there any cool modifications I can do to the Jetstream?

6) Any tip or anything special I need know about being a folding bike owner, specially for the Jestream model?

I'm really liking this whole folding bike Idea, I'm thinking of also purchasing a Speed TR. lol

Thank in advance.

In the long-term I'd add an 8 speed hub gear to the Jetstream such as the Shimano Alfine with rear disc brake.

SKS mudguards should fit with a little adjustment.

Spare parts shouldn't be a problem from Dahon and a main dealer like ThorUSA (Brakemeister) will take care of your needs there.

It is a a beautiful bike but for that price you could get a Jetstream p8 and fit an Alfine 11 speed to it. And have money left over.

The German A fromt suspension fork is pretty special and costs €900 alone! Apart from absolutely top-end mountain bike components it's a better frame too. Don't get me wrong the P8 is a great bike!

When I was looking at the Dahon website, I saw the EX model and I thought it was only going to be a few hundred dollars more than the P8. Then I googled the price tag on it and said, ok I was wrong, I can't justify the price of that bike...lol

You won't go wrong there and I'm sure there is no better man than Brakemeister to advise on P8 upgrades.

right now i do not have a kickstand which will fit the jetstream ... and probably more worrysome yet I dont know if there is one which will fit ...

simply no room or possibility to mount one behind the ( very high) bottom bracket
adjustable rear MIGHT work ... but I havent ried one out
maybe when its a little cooler in the warehouse I find a way of trying one ...
lol
