http://www.bikeforums.net/attachment...1&d=1228645136 Hello Bike one.I own a Mezzo upgraded to 27 speed dual drive, and a few other items swoped to save weight. It also has improvised low profile handle bars and shimano STI road race levers/brakes. Occasionally has MZS cude clippless detachable pedals on. Definately a keeper!
Bike two is simular sort of thing done to a Downtube NS8. Bike three is a upgraded mission space genie with 21 speed dual drive for off road work |

These two folding bikes were found during a bulk rubbish pickup-
The red one is a Bridgestone Picnica, single speed with 14" wheels. The blue one is a VICEROY with 20" wheels, 3 speed Sturmey Archer marked "84-11". It says Viceroy cycles Poole made in Italy. Scott. |
I ride a bright red dahon Speed D7 every day ,all year round.
I am quite impressed by the quality of these rather inexpensive bikes , it really holds up well, not too flexy , not to much maintenance , no problems whatsoever .Good buy, I'd say. The hospital I work for pays for mileage run on bikes, to encourage workers and to counteract the lack of parkingspace,as well as city-politics to lower the amount of cars . My bike has paid itself more than twice last year. Feels good to have a valid excuse to buy another bike every six months or so. Keep it up and drive home safely. Happy holidays to everyone . |

Friday I am go to pick up a free Huffy Tandem found on CL , and the owner said he also has a R20, and wanted to know where to find anything about them, of course I suggested he join here. Looks like he is keeping it orginal. This is the only other R20 I seen in our area. Looks like a beauty...

If you commute by train at all.I would be very interested like to hear how an owner of a Brompton and a birdie rates thier birdie for train commuting compaired to thier Brompton ? I may consider a Birdie when funds allow. |

I may consider a Birdie when funds allow. I do travel by train (SMRT) in Singapore. Brompton will be much more easier to roll around with the free wheel and the fold is sleek compare to birdie. But if you are looking for speed performance, my advice go for birdy as the pick up speed is really fast ... i can cruised at 20 -30 km/h without hassle. |
does anyone have any info.

This is my Dahon Jetstream XP - what a fantastic bike. Today I spent 2 hours in the central park of Hell_sink_1:). What a joy to ride - suspension, gears, brakes, handling. Name your bike? - I would name her Ripley.

I was just given an old Raleigh 20 folding bike for my birthday. I had a Raleigh 20 when I was a kid, (not a folding one), and I think my friends were a little sick of hearing me go on about it so they went out and found me one. My first ride down the very large hill from my house into town on my brand-new-old-bike, the brakes broke. I survived. I had a rest, bought a new brake cable and continued on my ride. I think I'll now need to look into making some minor adjustments to it - and in the meantime it gets folded into the boot of the car and safely transported to the bottom of the hill. I love folding bikes.

http://i42.tinypic.com/1qsrp3.jpg http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3...breakaway2.jpg I bought this one (a Canadian Tire "Supercycle") late last year for $5! I bought its brother (a red one) for another $5! The bro has undergone a bit of a cheap, redneck transformation ... http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3...breakaway2.jpg I stole the wheels from an old BMX bike and basically stripped the paint and rattle-canned it flat black. It looks blotchy because I used a reflective clearcoat. I guess the camera flash didn't like that. My friend is going to help me strengthen the stem a bit since it is wobbly even when tight but it is lots of fun to bomb around on. |
Wow; glad to see the arrival of this thread!
I am trying to learn more about the Strida and the CarryMe/CarryAll. I have read about them, but really want to speak to someone who has one------ Also, anyone know of a shop that sells them in CA. or elsewhere. I can't see buying one without seeing and riding it. Hoping to hear from someone! Thanks, Meg |
