Hello folder enthusiasts! I concluded last year that a folding bike would be ideal for my frequent one-way commutes. Got my KHS Latte last month. Replaced 40 tooth ring with Alloy Sugino 52 tooth off old road bike. Cruising speed dramatically increased and I can stand on the pedals for steeps. Love this bike.
Edit: Oh, I wrapped the stem with rim strip to prevent paint chipping when folded.

Yes, they call them EZFold in Britain. Yours had the American sellname. The Fenders (We call them Mud Guards) came with it and the rear rack and Rerailier guard.

It was just under 27 before I restored the stock fenders... losing the steel seat post, cottered steel crank, and old wheels / 3 speed hub dropped about 9 pounds off the bike.

My first folder! It's a ton of fun. I locked out the rear suspension and replaced the suspension fork with a BMX fork. It's currently a fixed gear. The frame is too short for the mustache bars and only get in the way, but I don't like the look of drops on a folder. I'll probably switch to risers.

Need more gear Range
I'd be interested in buying the 8H, or anyone else's interesting proposition.
I've got two DT 8 FSs. One is great out at the lake, in a hilly, very casual environment. BUT, the one I commute and play on (around town) just doesn't have enough top end for me.
My DT is old, so replacing the crank / chainring is mostly out of the question.
I'd also be happy to hear any proposals for 20" wheel + internal hub.

Why does that make replacing the cranks out of the question? A DT ought to last 10 years plus, and a new crank is a lot cheaper than a new bike. Bikes don't wear out that quickly, my oldest one was built in 1940, and one of my daily riders in 1966.

I recentlly put bar ends on to the EZFold. It helps me reach further away from the seat. I find the seat needs to be further away, I have adjusted it to its limmits. Anyone know of a gizzmo that can help me put the seat further back?

I just got my new Red Strida yesterday! I'm re-newing my biking after a 20 year absence. I'm sure though when I take her out tomorrow, it will all come back to me, just like... well, you know!
Anyway, here she is in my Chicago Apt. I'll be using her for my commute beginning Monday providing I don't end up in the hospital this weekend.
