Welcome Jason to the R20 virus.

They're a great little bike to ride, old yes, but still surprisingly easy, and with some tasteful light weight mods they FLY.

Very cool What year is it, maybe late 60's early 70's? Are those rims 406's?

Not sure but they look wider than the ones on my 1974. What size tire's are on it?

thank you!!

Any idea on the painted fenders vs. chrome and when that happened? I'm trying to figure out if mine is 'early'

There's no date on the hub, of course..

nice find ! there's gotta be a date stamp on that hub if its a sturmey archer and it does look like one looking at those photos.
you might need to look closer there's a chance it might have rubbed off
maybe the experts here can tell the year model from the frame serial#

there's very little wear on the hub, so I'd be surprised if it rubbed off. The only area I didn't clean was very close to the oiler cap...I guess it could be there?

I have several and I am trying to build a serial number/date data base, any and all submissions are welcome. Biggest issue is the unbelievable range of bikes that fall under the Twenty umbrella, as well as the cross markets they were sold in

If you don't want to post the serial numbers feel free to PM me.
