She's a Beaut! I guess I've been riding folders so long now that I love their look over a diamond frame. Such clean lines. The Brompton of course is so distinctive with that delicately flexed back. Congrats and enjoy the simplicity.

Chicago is pretty flat as I hear..

You got a 44x13 gear on that, or the 12t?

Me (5'9")I have My Mk2 T model[M3R] set up with a Saddle Adapter Pin,
pointed backwards, on an extended seat post. [thicker wall tube]

It gets me the set back behind the BB that makes Me comfortable,

Your seat seems too far forward, But that's just me.

have you tried pushing the seat back on the rails . flipping the pentaclip over,
to be behind the seat post, then adjusting the bars less forward?
still have similar reach, Body weight bias shifts to the butt,
rather than your arms that way..

Mine: 54x15 is just a little smaller gear, than the 44/12,
on the direct gear, of the 3 speed. ...

    a 58" vs 59"

the elastics clip nicely on the front roller support ..

I know that you will never regret your purchase of this bike. And you will probably never part with this beautiful bike (I should know, I have one that looks very similar to it).

I don't know, actually. I ordered the lowest geared single speed available; -18% from the standard single speed and yielding 60.6 gear inches, according to the 2010 Brompton brochure. I chose that one because it's in the same neighborhood as the Strida (~56 gear inches), so the two'd match up well when my wife and I ride together. It's just perfect for the kind of riding I do (slow, leisurely, on street or on lakefront bike path) and offers just enough of a challenge on the rare inclines Chicago's lakefront bike path throws at you.

easy to count teeth.. I was using this calculator http://sheldonbrown.com/gears/
maybe some difference in the radius data for the wheel
I imagine its the 44x12 then, a reasonable gear.

I'm in complete control. I don't suffer from folderitis at all. My next bike - if I get a next bike - will be a Moulton, which as we all know is not a folding bike, but merely a separable one. So, no folderitis here. Nothing to see. Move along.

Sweet bike! I currently have a Tikit, but the small fold and looks are tempting me to the dark side

Man, my wallet always starts hyperventilating with any Brommie pics. And I haven't even got me a new Moulton yet.
