Great bike pics from Amsterdam inc folders & Interesting article on folders

I found these great Amsterdam pictures with a quite naive commentary, particularly when he discovers, bikes with small wheels & high seats! LOL!

I know it's from 1998 but it is very positive
Collapsable bikes

Enjoy!

I loved it though, especially the awe at carrying passengers on racks etc.

I remember I went to Amsterdamfrom England in the late 1970s aged 21, and finding the most outrageous thing not the redlight district or the guys trying to sell us dope (turned out to be a lump of licorice, another story); but seeing one policeman giving another policeman a carry on the back his bike. I mean, policemen !!! Blew my mind. What a great country.

Hilarious! Even funnier was one of the commentors opinion of folding bikes:

"very unpractical bicycle (no place to put your bags, friends, or children)."
He forgot to mention dogs.

The guy I was quoting was an American, so don't start taking offense, I love the Dutch, people, language (I even started to learn it) and your great bike culture.

I thought it very funny that he didn't know what a small wheel bike was for!

So take a chill pill & don't take offense at innocent comments about someone commenting in a naive way about your fabulous Country!
