Experiences with Brompton Bag

I just got my first Brompton and I am thinking about bringing it on some short/long haul flights. Does anyone have any experiences with the Brompton Bag in terms of how well it protects the bike? Thanks!

The well constructed Brompton bag is better than nothing at all covering the bike. But as far as protecting against those Neanderthal baggage handlers, I would for my own Brompton leave it at home-personal preference-or at the very least buy a hard shell suitcase or trunk that is more insulated against the inevitable sharp bumps and abuse airline luggage is sure to receive during handling.

+1

There is no way I would expect a soft sided bag to protect much of anything when flying. FWIW I take Amtrak a fair bit and would be okay with a soft sided bag their.

Aaron :)
