Where Is The Best Place To Sell A Dahon Bicycle?

I've seen the for sale section here and there isn't much activity. Craigslist in my area is not really effective since I live in a small town of about 20,000 people in the expanded county area. I see good bicycles listed for months without selling. Plus it's winter and I'm one of just a handful of people who ride their bicycles year round.

I don't ride my Dahon Smooth Hound in the winter. I use my comfort bicycle with studded tires. I'm hoping to move soon and I need to let go of many things that I'm not using at the moment. The Smooth Hound is just one of those things. Since I have the original box I'll be able to disassemble it if needed and ship it.

Taking the shipping fee of over $125 (possibly more) into account, where is the best place to sell this bicycle. It doesn't fold but it is designed to be packed into a skinny form. I'd like to get this listed somewhere before the end of the year.

Anybody have experience selling bicycles on the internet? I'd appreciate your advice.

I think Ebay would be your best bet.

Ebay and advertise it on the Folding Marketplace (in this forum) and then cross post it on the For sale forum

The Bicycle Forums is a great place to let others know of the sale of your bike. Plus on the Dahon's Buy, Sell, Trade Forum: http://forum.dahon.com/index.php?showforum=9, is another place to post simultaneously for free as your bike is a Dahon. I sold my Dahon Piccolo through those Websites. But be warned that it might take some time as this is still a rather hard time financially for many people and money is still rather tight. My Piccolo took well over a month to move. And I live in the Los Angeles area where there are around 18 or so million people here. If possible, allow the possibility of taking the bike with you when you move. Perhaps the market will be better suited for you and not only will you sell the bike, but at the price you want.
