Low quality folder on craigslist
I've been thinking about a folder for a while. With my limited budget and pension for utility, I've been looking at older folders in my price range, but they don't seem to fold small/light enough to be convenient on the daily train ride I take during work days.
One of these just came up on CL, and wow, it seems about as generic as they come. Does anyone know have any real life experience with one of these bikes?

Save your money and buy a basic Dahon Boardwalk S1 at a decent bike shop or dealer for example: https://www.performancebike.com/bikes//Product_10052_10551_1084816_-1___
I bought one and kept it for several years until recently. If you are tempted by that generic folding bike's free bag offer, consider that there are many rather cheap ways or methods members here have used for their own bike cover bags.

If you do any amount of riding on a regular basis (commuting you said) you will soon want/need a better riding and better quality bike.
Continual train commuting would scream Brompton or Bike Fridaytikit. Used versions of one of these should be an option. It's like buying a good used car. Most of us started with lower to mid-priced folders and now ride good quality models. We do it because if you ride daily you can tell the difference in quality, performance and ease of maintenance.

This is a very good deal if it is within your budget, a Dahon MU P8
