Just got my New DAHON CURVE SL

got home from work and was surprised to see that there is a brown box waiting for me.... my brand new Dahon Curve SL (not the capreo though, just the nexus 8 speed as they are all out of the capreos). yehey for me....

thanks, sam. for some reason i checked the handlepost and it has not been fixed yet (dahon recall). i will check with REI if they can fix it.

Do you have to go to the original dealer? If not, Thor would be my choice.

Congrats, i like the Curve SL lightweight and a IGH 8 speed.

that is weird and can really not happen ...unless.... have oyu checked the handlepost ? ( Obviously u have ) it should have an R stamped into the lower plate. OR alternatively it should have a black yellow sticker on the upper part ... see last page in the right hand corner way down ..

I currently do not have a handlepost to fit this bike, but the the seller should have no problem obtaining one from Dahon and do the switch for you as well.

In case you dont get anywhere, please do not hesitate to get in contact we me and we will get this done...

( just not in this week as I dont have any and I am out of the office too boot )

i did check it and there is no R stamped on the handlepost and no black yellow sticker. i doubt they checked it and opened the box to fix. in any case i'd rather that you send me the handle post at your convenience. let me know when you can do it. again, thanks a bunch.

this folderitis and upgradetitis is kicking in again. i haven't tuned the bike and yet i already ordered and received a shimano sora 50T crankset for my curve sl. i plan on changing the crankset. there is also the sks mudguards on the way. hmmm what else do i need ?

Forgive my ignorance but what will a 50T crankset accomplish? Will the current chain still fit or do you need to replace it?

nothing really. it's just that i like changing and upgrading the parts of my folder bikes. i replaced the chain also not because it will not fit but just wanted to upgrade to a SRAM chain.

I see. I was hoping it was to get maybe a little higher gear, then I would do the same heh.

The Curve SL is a great little bike, but feels a bit fragile at times.
