Old Dahon Classic Handlebar Plastic Shims
My Plastic handlebar shim from my old Dahon Classic broke - and so now I cannot clamp my handlebar to steer (it is loose), because there is no tensioning.
Does anyone know where I can find replacements? I cannot ride until I can clamp it safely.
Attached are some pictures, I have attached 3 pictures of the missing shim and 2 of the shim that I am looking for.
Thanks,
Amy

thats the same as a seatpost shim for a regular bike .. just ask your local friendly bike dealer to check in his seatpost clamp/shim box in the back of his shop to find you one ....they are around .... if he doesnt have one he can order one from his friendly parts supplier ....
I have seen people cutting up a Bud Can ( coke or whatever ) wrap a layer or two aroung and voila same effect...

Size of the Shim?
Hi Thor, do you know the size of this shim (circumference etc). Will this allow for the peg hole/slot?
thanks much!

Any of you have a picture? I tried and it did not work, it did not clamp still (no friction) and so was able to be moved.....
