Protecting the front rack and its cargo from road water

If your folder is equipped with a front rack, how do you protect it (and the cargo) from road water - when the road is wet and the front fender spits water out the front?

My panniers are waterproof so they don't need any protecting. Any the rack is powdercoated so it's fine. I am thinking about putting full coverage fenders on my NWT for better protection than the easy pack fenders, but I'm more concerned with me and my bike's drivetrain.

Vik, your setup is too sophisticated :-) I have a wire basket that I bungee-cord to the rack.

Longer front Mudguard.. , how about a sheet of plastic
zip-tied to your basket bottom?

fietsbob, that's what I have now. It's OK, but nothing extra.

How about a rear mudguard in front...they tend to be longer.
