Shameless. About as shameless as charging 20 quid for some rubberized glue or 50 quid for an alloy seat pillar. . . Brompton is a designer label, the branding built around snobbish principles. Brompton, you snobby bastards. Nice bike though.

Incidently, is the Brompton frame logo always some sort of sticker/transfer? The bike I bought second-hand had sat in a garage for several years and had clearly hardly been used at all. There was a wrinkled plastic film covering the frame logo, I guess protection that the original owner hadn't removed. . . it'd turned into a nasty gluey mess and it took me a long time to get it off. But looking at the Brompton logo itself, it appears to be some sort of super-scratch-resistant sticker due to the fact that there's a couple of air bubbles where it's lifting off the underlying paint. . . is it designed to be easily removable and replaceable with a fresh decal? I've seen Brompton decals on sale but I assumed they were for people who do custom paint jobs on their frames. . . perhaps not? Or maybe what I'm seeing is some type of rectangular-shaped clearcoat laid precisely over the logo?

Seriously? WHY? I mean, it's cute and all, but why make a bike to commemorate the wedding? Aren't coins, stamps, tea cups and plates enough?

The Brompton's Limited Edition British Royal Wedding Bike is built in a special colour, Sake White.
Sake white Sake is a liquor, and not white..

I'll take the bait, fietsbob. Is this part of your crotchety old man shtick? Or perhaps another of your incomprehensible, non sequitur rants? Would you care to say more about your dislike for immigrants?

And what in the heck does that even have to do with tasteless memorabilia?

I'm calling you out because I can overlook your snide bike-related retro-grouchiness, but not xenophobia. I'm not going to stand silent and let that kind of comment slide.

You probably like more those immigrants that give you a loan (C$800,000, 5 years and two months, zero interest).

Is the Black baby doll some sort of political statement?

There's mention somewhere on the site that they've been working on a telescopic stem. . . isn't there? I thought maybe it might be that.

Would have been interesting if Ponce William had married a black woman.

Brompton reveal that this is not the Big Secret. But that's as much info as is given: let the speculation begin.
