Dahon dealer in Austria

Hi folks,
I will be in Austria/Graz next month for business and it will be a long stay of 4/6 weeks. So I'm thinking of buying a folding bike to ride there, and take it back home with me. I'm considering one of the Dahon models, with a lot of gears and lighter on the scale. So can anyone please guide me to a shop that holds a good selection of high-end Dahon models. I found some websites on the net, bust most of them are in German :( Shops in Vienna would be ok too.

Also if you know a shop for bike rental in Graz, that info might get useful too as a plan B, in case I cannot find a bike to buy.

Thanks in advance!

Hi black66,

I'm from Vienna, you might try here:

http://www.2rad-pv.at/fahrraeder.php

http://www.dasfaltrad.at/

http://www.rad21.at/Fahrraeder.php

The last two seem to be relatively small shops, I suggest to call them before going to the store.
If you are able to specify the desired model(s), the local stock research would be a lot easier...:D

Best regards

Thanks for the help Blackstrida_A.. Will definitely take a look!

Meanwhile I have found the following shops in Graz from dahon's dealer locator:
Radsport Kotnig
Bikestore.cc
Radsport VYCHODIL
However none of them list any Dahon models, have sent them e-mails, but if anyone have some info on these shops would like to hear them..

Today I've visited this store (for the first time):
http://www.rad21.at/Fahrraeder.php
The very friendly owner, Mr. Alvarez, has 1 (one) white Dahon in stock, but he told me it takes usually one week to get any model to the, as suspected, small shop.

In case of the bikeshops in Graz I would not fully trust Dahon's dealer locator...

No replies yet, apart from Das Faltrad in Vienna. Michael invited me for a test ride, and it seems like they hold the widest range of foldable bikes around as the name mention.

Do you remember the model of this white dahon???

just in caqse you dont find a fitting Dahon
I have a couple Vitesse P 18 ( 18 gears ) which are reasonable light and they have a lot of gears.... for 699 US dlr ..shipping to Europe varies but 200 to 300 dlr depending on where....
might be not economical but as a last resort works well

Yours is a very nice shop, with a very nice selection indeed! I'd rather prefer the Mu XL Sport if there was no shipping involved. It's not the cost, but I don't think it will be convenient to order it to an adress abroad. :(

well we do have Mu XL sports as well.....same low price.
no problem to fed ex it all over the place.... i do it all the time :-)
Its just a little expensive to ship, but if money is not a real big problem, than its easy :-)

What I meant was I will not have time, language and knowledge to deal with the customs there in case.. But you know, in the end Money is always the main problem! :D
Well anyway, I've got a good deal on a 2010 MuP8 from a local dealer this weekend and bought it already!!! It has the nice deep blue color on.
However I think I may still need your services for the extra parts and accesories, which are much more shipable too ;)
