I wouldn't expect Brompton to make parts that play nicely with it's competitors, unless it would benefit their business. Or the reciprocal in Dahon's case.
It's not what Brompton or Dahon are doing, it's what Rixen & Kaul are doing.
I meant, if there are Klickfix adapters that mount to the headtube of a Dahon, wouldn't it make sense to make an adapter for the Brompton that used a similar mount (eliminating the need for the Brompton plastic wedge), rather than the handlebar mount as shown on the grey plate thingy?
(y'all beat me too it as I was typing)

I just tried the equivalent of this shopping cart method with the brompton folding basket and the fold locked via the lower portion of a telescopic seat post. The folding basket being to one side of the fold, plus the handlebars folded down makes the bike a little unbalanced. I could see an accident occurring if one isn't diligent in loading heavy objects on the left hand side. To some extent I found it more comfortable than the typical handlebars up method and given that one turns the bike by tilting the bike from the seat post I guess it'd work without the fold being locked, i.e. with regular seat post. It's close to being an ideal solution, the only cumbersome aspect being having to lift the seat stay wheels off the ground when turning. . . if there were a way of mounting pivoting caster wheels the functionality would be amazing, turning corners would be effortless.

Front wheel is turned to the side when folded, so won't really track well towed.
Track of frame wheels is 9", EZ wheel narrower a bit,
back of the rack wheels 8" if both are fitted on the outside.
this year Brompton offers a bag made by Ortlieb that is waterproof,
and integrates with the Brompton frame mount. about $300..
Carridry is another dry bag .. that Carradice supplies, using the B bag frame
+ a cotton/leather trad style bag, in black and green.

I flew to Sydney with my Brommie and did some shopping after work. People tend to do a double-take and then quickly look away pretending this is the most common thing on earth.

Hah, I do the exact same thing Amuro Lee does when shopping! I have a klickfix basket fixed onto the seatpost. The local shop owners always get a kick out of it when I "transform" the bike into a shopping cart.
