IGH on a Mercier Nano.
I want to put a IGH on my Nano and what is the best way to install a IGH with vertical dropouts?

half link has bent side plates so an inner link on one end, and a outer link on the other..
and it is just 1/2 inch between ..
in 1/8" there are chains made up entirely of this half link , links.
alternatively may have to add/subtract a tooth in the drive train to make it 'so'
a double pulley chain tensioner is easier .. the Rohloff one is great !
2 versions one sits closer to the cog than the other ..

Thank you for the explanation. What do you think of the Shimano Alfine adjuster. The Rohloff is a bit too expensive for me but looks great.

Cheap bastard IGH extended range setup, do this:
Get the IGH wheel. Keep the double chainring up front and front shifting. Use the rear derailleur as a tensioner -- you can either use a super short length of shifter cable, with the head inside the rear der adjuster, or the high limit screw to align the upper pulley with the cog.
Voila! Now you got a dual range IGH setup for cheaper than a legit single chainring/tensioner mod.
The Alfine tensioner accommodates a double chainring up front, but since you're starting with a tensioner (derailleur) already, why bother?

The official specs on the Nano say that the chainstay length is 375mm. I've found it to be more like 373.9mm.
I'm using 1/8" drivetrain components.
