Interbike is coming up...what you guys want to see or know

Interbike is next week...
I am there of course with my Sapim Spokes ( I do a couple extra things besides the folding bikes )
Our booth is right next to Terns .... but I will take the time to dash away from our booth and try to get infos or photos or both for you...

Now Vegas is like 3rd world if it comes to Wifi .... nowhere available unless you pay 25 bucks a day or something outrageous... I will not be responsible to make those people even more wealthier than they already are... therefore I am taking my phone and will post the pics on my facebook site ....only.....

facebook name is :
(Thor Schaette)

Here at the office, we will take orders, ship stuff, with the exception of International orders where we find freight quotes and like after the I am back.
Important emails will be forwarded, but dont expect long answers as I am VERY SLOW typing on my little phone ....

lol

Lets hear what you are looking to see, what details on what bikes, how do I look in a Brompton coat , what components or accessories you are lusting for ....

I'm gonna be in LV from Mon until Thurs and would like to look at some interbike stuff myself.
But since I'm not in the industry, looks like I won't.

I will be spectating at CX Vegas as well.

Hi Thor,

I heard there was going to be a Folding Bike ride/event at some time during Interbike but I don't have any details. If it sounds like a fun event I'll bring my DaHon and ride along. Have you heard anything about this . . . don't even remember where I saw the announcement?

We're arriving on Tues. morning, setting up the booth pretty much all day on Tues. then working the show the next three days and packing it all up on Saturday.

Hi Rick,

Thor's referring to the Mobile Social ride, which this year heads in the opposite direction to the Beat Coffeehouse and Downtown Cocktail Room. There is also the annual "Folder Frolic" which traditionally involves an early morning ride followed by a nice shot of whiskey. This year's folder frolic is Thursday the 15th at 7am, meeting in front of the Venetian. Anyone with a folder and/or whiskey is welcome to join, I'm sure. Hope to see you there!

I'll be there Thursday and Friday. I won't be bringing a folder as this is tacked on to the end of a business trip and I just don't like checking luggage on a multi-leg trip. Maybe I can borrow a folder somewhere...

I'd like to know if Moulton introduces any new variants or special editions in the TSR range.

I'll report on that one. I suspect I'll be all over the Moulton booth...

SRAM said they were going to introduce new 7- and 8-speed IGHs @ Eurobike, but...nothing. If they missed Eurobike I don't look for them @ Interbike, but you never know.

I hear you Thor, I talked myself out of it for 2012, probably won't be so lucky in 2013. I like Taiwan fine, just don't like the long flight!

Why limit yourself to Facebook Thor? You should consider Flickr. I only recommend this because I use it and its great. You can simply MMS your pictures to your account or use the specified OS app.

I would like to know how the Verge S11i stacks up against the Dahon MU P8. As well as the Link D8 vs Speed P8

I'd second that. Any developments related to IGHs (or drum brake hubs, IGH or otherwise) would be of great interest to me.

Gonna put the Sinclair girls on the facebook page as well.
Other than that i am a little shellshoked about both Terns and Dahon prices at the moment.
Dahon has a couple new bikes which i really like. Jivo Curl and Formula for example.
Tern has a great add on rack which makes pulling the bikes a snap.

I had hoped for better pricing on the Duo models. But they are still cool as hell .
Dahon ios flat orange paint is mot my favourite, but a few new Stem arrangements on the gull dize bikes make up for it.
Lots of details which are cool indeed.

Tomorrow i will run over to Sram and find out more about ighs.
Plus need to say hello to the Brommie guys.

Had a great time on the Folder Frolic ride at Interbike! Saw lots of other folders there, I think the total number was 27 . . . which may not sound like a lot, but for a folder only ride at Interbike, it was fairly good.

Were you on the ride Thor? Anyone else here on Folder Frolic 2011? Lots of riders were taking video, so I'm sure there will be a youtube vid soon!

I survived my first InterBike. I took a Speed Duo with me and rode the 3/4 mile to and from the Sands convention center. Unfortunately, I had an early meeting that precluded participating in the Folder Frolic ride. Most interesting product for me was the Tern roller rack mentioned in one of Thor's posts. Highlight of the event was meeting Thor!

Sorry you couldn't make the Frolic Ride Hank, it was all fun. To see my photos of a small part of it, click on this link.
