Hi Bruce, sorry to be a little late to the party here but I've only just discovered your nickel plated Moulton. It really looks fantastic and finally solved my 10-year dilemma about how I was ever going to be able to replace my TSR with a £16,000 stainless steel Moulton.

I noticed in your last post a couple of years ago you said ".. I probably wouldn't do it again on a space frame .. there are a lot of nooks and crannies to contend with..." Were there problems with the plating? Did it not reach into all those nooks and crannies? I've had a reasonable quote from a nickel plating firm in the UK but any advice on this before I take the plunge would be much appreciated.

Many thanks.

Plating, like doing a really good paint job is more about surface preparation, than any thing else.

the Polished finished surface reflects having polished the bare steel first.

+ Note in 1st post, there was old pink paint to Remove ..

I have been considering this... How about polishing and then clear powder coated? The brazing would show up really nice.
