Maybe that pack for cyclocross , the wings will make it difficult for others to pass
and possibly leave you a lap or more, down, by the finish..

Which means that they are already deployed in the streets. Next time you see a Brompton rider with a backpack, provoke him and see what happens. Do it in the open, not inside a bus or a train.
