Long wait time for B-Spoke Bromptons

On May 17th I ordered two B-Spoke Bromptons and thought they would arrive 4-5 weeks later. It has now been over eight weeks and I am still waiting. Today I called the shop and was told my bikes should arrive within the 1st week of August. So we are really looking at 10-11 weeks for a B-Spoke order.

I can't be angry at the shop, since it is out of their control. They did tell me I could cancel my order but I figure I invested 8 weeks already.

On one hand I am happy that Brompton is so successful they are having trouble fulfilling orders. On the other hand I want my bike!!

When I went to order my Brompton I wanted the super light version but was told I couldn't get that anymore. Ok a little disappointed but what can you do? Now the long wait.

After talking with the manager of the shop, he did give me sage advice, "When I finally get my Brompton, I won't be disappointed."

I need to stop counting the days.

A few local dealers in my area that I've spoken to have given me different wait times, but the general consensus seems to be about 10 weeks. I inquired at one shop that's rather far from me, however, and was told that Brompton has given them an updated lead time of 14 weeks.
