Calling HPFS and other UK folding bikers

I have just done the 1st stage of a ride on the Grand Union from West Drayton to Milton Keynes (Approx 50 miles) It really has some beautiful parts. I'd like to do the full ride to Leamington Spa (approx 103 miles) and if anyone is interested, please let me know. The ground needs to be dry and relatively good weather predicted. There are plenty of trains back and these are relatively cheap off-peak at the weekends.

See details below:

Awesome route - at some stage I'd love to do it all - so far just done the London sections - like an underworld below the traffic/hussle. Thanks for sharing !
Very topical too ! - just like in the Olympics opening ceremony, these canal scenes are like at the start of the industrial revolution (ie the bit just before chimneys came up out of the green fields :-) , but before the queen and Mr. bean :-)

Wow. Definitely considering it, though I am more of road cyclist these days and 103 miles of canal path is rather daunting. Also, the last time I was on a tow path was with you, and that did not end well :-(

I'm "watching" this thread to see what happens

@jefmcg I can spare a larger wheeled bike if you don't have one. In fairness you are an experienced cyclist and just slipped on sand gravel on a steep incline on your Mezzo. They are not really made for that surface on an incline. You cycle more hazardous routes on your commute but it suits the Mezzo on relatively flat tarmac.

There is a wealth of experience and information on the London - Birmingham towpath route here, daunting to say the least :-

I'm out. Definitely a road person.

Seriously thinking of London to Paris in 24 hours, but I may use the road bike for that.
