+1, the charcoal place and Taiping Lake Gardens!!! wow... I'm going to KL in a week and may cart my Brommie along, don't know yet... Alreardy looking forward to some great street meals. I think Malaysian street food is tops.

Now if I were touring on a folder, this would be my style as well! Maybe I can take the Amtrak train up to St. Augustine, FL from Winter Park (Orlando, FL), and do a similar ride. St. Augustine is said to be the oldest city in the US, and has a lot of historical sites to visit.
