Recommendations for folding pedals that last...
I knew the stock VP-113 pedals that came with my BF Tikit were cheap (the rubber "grip" started pulling out after the first week). But I expected them to last longer more than a year / more than ~6000 miles, and not leave me pushing the bike a couple of miles due to a broken pedal spindle.
I don't often fold the pedals, but there have been times it's been necessary to fit into some of the Caltrain luggage racks.
Can you recommend any pedals that might be a bit more robust, or should I forgo folding and go with a standard pedal?

Brompton uses a single large robust sealed bearing, Bikes ship with just the left,
but with a Rh threaded plug, a second one to balance the weight, can be bought..

note the new allen socket core axle - bolt, vs prior 24mm hex.
unscrew to swap out to Clipless pair made easy.

I managed 600 miles on my Dahon's folding pedals. There are threads on here discussing folding pedals and the merits of removeables. I need to use folding pedals and am coming to accept that I will have to keep spares for their ineviteable demise. The MKS do look nice.

I use either mks or welgo detachables now. Having tried many folding pedals and given up on them. These also have the advantage of allowing quick changers between standard and spd peddles types. Welgo faster to release and don't use plastic safety clips, but have a tiny amount of play in QR. MKS need mks cleats, but these also work in spd.
