When did you last ride your folder?

I ride mine rarely. I mainly use it as a travel bike but I'll also use it when my road bike is in the shop, like it was last week.

But before last week, the last time I rode my folder was April 2012, when I took it to Hawaii.

How about you?

About a week and a half ago. I was on Vacation and had taken it with me. I rode everyday. Now that the weather is getting better I will ride it more. I like my folder and sometimes prefer it to my road bike.

Err, less than half an hour ago. It's my primary mode of transportation around the city. The last full day I didn't ride it at all was March 9th, cause I was visiting a friend in Philly, and rode his road bike.

Today w/ new Big Apple tires. Big improvement. It will see even more use this year as it's my only city bike. Dunelt 3 speed was stolen last fall but at least they didn't get the Boardwalk or Raleigh Pro, which prefers trails.

Yesterday. I commute on it, but it was a little too windy & cold for my taste this morning.

I love these - smoother ride and less twitchy steering, not a slow tyre either. Plus they just look dashed cool.

Rare to have two days in a row without a ride just now, enjoying the few hours a day when I can dispense with gloves. Mostly errands or sub-10-mile pleasure spins.

Last night... rode from my hotel to a restaurant about 2 miles down the road, then around the neighborhood where I am staying.

Back in November. That's when BikeFriday told me my tikit was unsafe to ride and they'd send me a new part to make it safe to ride again. Yes, I'm now in my fifth month of waiting...

I rode mine this past week to the mailbox. The last time I took it on a longer ride was last year on a long weekend in Munchen as my trip was multi-modal with a train.

Just got off of my new Brompton M6R, and I'll be back on it in a few minutes to ride to work. My other bikes have been gathering dust since I got it as I'm using the B for commuting, trips around town and touring. Couldn't be happier.

Sell it to me. I'd pay you more than a fair price for a useless bike.

Same as you. Around home I just use my regular bike since there is no need to fold and it's nice to have larger wheels. But the folder gets to have the privilege to be used on bike tours like the one in a couple of days.

BTW, that's what I purchased my folder for - recreational cycling or touring when I'm on an (airplane) trip.

Just realised I got my Brommie from the local Barber shop............

I ride my folders when either | ride my bikes, as I have sold my rigid bikes. Need to remember how to alter my avatar. So 4 days a week usually.
That would be Tuesday then.

Thanks for the offer, but Bike Friday's helpful customer service department has informed tikit owners that it's illegal to resell a recalled product.

When I built up my folder (the Cruzigami Mantis), I built it so I have a real bike that folds. It has almost identical gearing and rides almost identically to my big bike. So it is very possible to have a folding bike that works as your main bike.

Last Tuesday... I have a new to me Raleigh 20 and ran a bunch of short errands to see how things were working and aside from a fussy hub the bike is just fine.
