Yes you are right. Unfortunately, at the moment, my budget only limits to 1 folder. And probably my 2nd bike will be a non-folder. The closest thing that I can do is to test ride them. But most of the shops that I rang don't have the paratroopers in stock at the moment, thus this thread started.

We have a great range of bikes in our stores ready and waiting for you to test ride them, but if you have a specific bike you would like to try at your local store, we can order the bike in for a no obligation test ride.

A maximum of two bikes can be ordered in at any one time. Each bike requires a £50 fully refundable to order it into the store. Custom built bikes (such as special order Bromptons) require full payment in advance before they can be ordered into store.
To book a test ride please contact your local store
(I believe you get £50 back when you test ride, it's to protect them from a no-show)

Only those 2? get the Birdy. (why?) someone, previously has shown pictures of the off-road stresses ,
breaking the Aluminum center fold post on those Montagues. [steel version may be better, IDK]

Bike Friday Pocket Llama, not as much a fast small fold as the Brompton,
still .. no suspension other than the seatpost, but Its OK when the pavement ends..

Just called them, and unfortunately the bikes are not on stock at the moment. Probably next month.

Hmmm... so Birdy will be better everyday commuter than the Paratrooper?
