So,you have to pull the seatpost out and stick it in the underside, then carry the pedals and front rack? I think they need to go back to the drawing board.

I'm going to guess that's for extra compactness. I think in day to day usage you wouldn't do that. Stick some folding peddles on there for easy folding... and leave the seat post up so you can use the trolley wheels to move it around.

Just curious... What is it about kick-back brakes you don't like? (I installed an Automatix on my spare Ti Swift with coaster brake. I am loving it.)

Agree with smallwheeler -- real nice upgraded Boardwalk.

What is the steerer/stem upgrade going on here? And does it require a new fork or would the original Boardwalk fork work with this setup?

its a Radius 5 HAndlepost ... mated to a new fork which works with 451 wheels ...

if you want to keep the original fork and wjeels
this would work
http://www.thorusa.com/dahon/technic...conversion.htm

disregard the sale button on that page as I don't want to sell here ...

i used Newson 451 rims. i also used a carbon fiber front fork. :-) yes, i agree that the boardwalk is one of the best looking bikes made by dahon. thank you.

I actually used a carbon fork (for 451 wheels) and a litepro handlepost stem. yes, the original fork will work in this set-up. :-) thank you.

panasonic springbok. acquired recently in pretty good refurbished condition. just installed some used parts: shimano 105 brake lever, shimano 105 RD, capreo crank with shimano 105 chain ring. it is a frankenbike to a certain extent but it looks good to me.

451 wheels would be perfect for the springbok. a nitto technomic stem would look great also. i would love to read ride reports from you for some of these recent acquisitions.

Looks cool but,,
You hit a crack or a hole any wider than my foot or any bigger around than a coffie cup your going over the bars on those teeny wheels LoL

Fat bike,,that thing would go nose down in sand like a submarine on an emergency dive..

If It had 20" wheel's, that would make be good..
