Kalaq classic folding bike..

Google this title to see Kalaq folding bikes..The classic looks like a penny farthing with a 24 inch front wheel and 16 inch rear wheel ..but is rear wheel drive..7 speed with disc brakes..and folds..On sale in Thailand..

i look but I don't care.. have to wonder Why?

But penny farthings are direct front wheel drive. NB there have been several bikes made with 2 different wheels.

Hi,

Gets my vote for pointlessly stupid bicycle design.
I can't work out the back brake at all.

I have to agree it seems a bit pointless but that just may be the whole point of it...It must be better than a Strida or A bike to ride...and they seem just as pointless..

Looks like great fun though LOL

PS The larger font wheel make the 16" back one look like about 12"!

Strangely it also seems to have V brake lugs left on the frame ?

The other bikes Kalaq produce seem pretty ordinary and good value for Thailand..Not sure if the rest of the bikes are Dahon produced or come from mainland China..
