Hey, here's one for you guys. Do you have the nerve for it?

I made a comment about this on one of my threads. Would you ride a pink folding bike if there was one? Would you? Come on now --fess up. I was giving an admiring eye to a pink bike with some colorful flower patterns painted or decaled on it a couple of weeks back at a sporting goods store. It looked real nice. When I said to my wife that I would ride it, she looked at me funny like. Well, why not, I said. If girls can ride blue bikes then I can ride pink ones. OK guys, would you be embarrassed to ride it? Me, I wouldn't. It would go nice with my pink shirt.

Here's something. A salesman in a bike shop told me to Google it -- I did. Years ago it wasn't "pink for girls" and "blue for boys". In fact it was the opposite. Go figure. I like colors, I guess the sixties are still in me. Reminds me off my VW bug years ago. I had it plastered with flower decals.

Yeah why not? Seriously, I really have no issue riding a pink bicycle. I mean, sure, I'd think twice if it was a horrible bike, but just because it's in pink, doesn't make me stay away at all.

Good for you. I know that if I rode one back when I was a boy I would have had to get my parents to pick me up at the hospital. Nice to see that male paranoia is changing.

I don't do pastels, just not my thing. I also don't ride blue bikes, they've always been unlucky for me.

It wouldn't bother me and sure I'd ride it but would prefer a pink bike to come in black.

That reminded me of the model T Ford -- no I wasn't around back then. But Ford said, "You can have it in any color you want as long as its black".

That chrome job is awesome. It must have set you back a buck or two that's for sure. Don't see much in the way of chrome these days. They sure had a lot on the cars back in the fifities. Out here in AZ one would need some strong powered sun glasses to ride that bike.

Cheers

Pink Jersey is to the Giro D' Italia, what the Yellow one is to the Tour D France .. GC Leader. Final Winner.

That's right. Forgot about that. Pink jersey in the Giro. How about the T de F -- two Brits win back to back last two years running, and from the same team as well.

that's why Super Mario doesn't mind Pink, it's hard earned.. have to be at the front at the end of the day,

then the sprint for the line, before the stage Win can happen.

Pink is just another color. My MIL is a Breast Cancer survivor so there is lots of pink stuff around the house. Hell even my dog has a pink leash... like he cares.

FWIW I even ride step through frames too. At 6'-2" and 215# I don't get much guff about what I ride... other than the "get the F off the road" from the cagers.

Had my eye on a well known Italian bike frame, beautiful, but the pink gave me pause. Love pastels as a color for my dress shirts for work, but..., my bike has to be black or blue.

A guy can get away with riding a pink bike.

A guy can get away with wearing a kilt.

But a guy cannot get away with riding a pink bike while wearing a kilt, unless he is drinking a strawberry daiquiri.

Sons bike. Almost mint dumpsterfind. He is no too happy about the colour. 60 cm Miyata912.

Bought a 914 for myself- 58 cm for £30. We could have swapped but different frame size.

The strawberry daiquiri would clash with my kilt... margaritas are a different story...

Love the color myself. To lesson the impact for him, put a sign on it -- "My Mother Made Me Ride It". Second thought -- maybe not.

I almost died laughing. Tell ya what. He won't get far riding like that in the tenth rated redneck city in America -- Mesa, AZ, unless he swapped out the daiquiri for a Budweiser

Well, for one thing, you will get where you are going a whole lot faster -- especially if someone is chasing you -- on your pink bike.

From my journeys to both Indonesia and the Philippines years back, people, in general, are not bothered or concerned about things such as this. What part of SE Asia are you from?

Nice color combinations -- pink bike, blue bag and green helmet.

By the way, what rear hub is that?
