Peerless Crus All-Terrain

Heya guys, I am a long time lurker of this forum... so this will be my first post.

This bike suddenly got me interested, and I wonder what are your comments about it...

Apparently, Peerless already established its name in the Philippines, they mostly distribute bikes enhanced, if not, copied bikes from known names like Dahon, Birdy, etc...

The Peerless Crus is like a Jetsteam ex on steroids...

- ALL TERRAIN 20-inch suspension frame
- LitePro ghost 2014 aluminum alloy straight to
- Avid bb5 disc brakes
- Split 20 inch spinner air pressure fork can be locked
- Kore 33.9mm seatpost monorail
- LitePro 53t full cnc crankset (with support the market)
- SRAM x7 10s medium cage rear derailleur
- SRAM x7 10s single right thumbwheel
- SRAM pg1050 11-32t freewheel Mountain
- Schwalbe Marathon 20x1.5 foldable tires and tubes
- LitePro m228 pedals
- KMC X10 10-speed chain
- kindshock air 150mm Shock Absorbers
- avid fr7 brake lever
- DA16 406 disc wheels (100/135 red axis black bar black circle)
- 44mm special built-in headset

And it retails more or less than 640...

*BTW, I am not affiliated with Peerless bikes.

Hmm, I just perused the FAQ on that site and a couple of things stood out. First, the warranty is "for a period of time"- but it is unspecified. The other thing is the shipping- the way it is worded, they don't deliver outside of the country. So unless you're either local (doubtful considering the currency option you chose) or planning a trip there...

Sorry I couldn't help with the bike itself, as I'm a Clyde and there isn't a folder that I even have a hope of affording that will hold me and the stuff I tend to schlep around

dunno if I would call that on steroids ....... the price of a 1000 dlr sounds of course pretty good. But figure a couple hundred dlr freight, customs clearing and Euro duty and before u know it it would be 2000...
I would bet, that the front fork sucks big time, heavy and and and .... and I am not saying this cause I sell German A forks

It sure is a looker though

Tern : all about the ride

Yeah, saw this, it is indeed a looker. It's pretty new, no reviews yet. Hope I can try it out but they don't currently ship to UK. I will probably have a look when I go back to Philippines.

I was speaking with a fellow bike rider from the Philippines, and we did discussed the Peerless Folding bikes. Apparently, the distributor there sell the basic bike with stock parts for around 16K philippine currency, which is like $366.00, but some if not all of its buyers almost always upgrade the parts.

here, his Peerless Storm, with only the frame and handle post remain as original parts

and it's rather heavy too, this one, the Peerless Rhine weighs close to 28 lbs.
