Can the Brompton rear rack accomodate panniers?

My Brompton should be here any day now. I was wondering can the rear rack accommodate panniers? If so, any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,

James

Hi small wheeler. How do your heels clear the panniers?

Advance worrying ? It's done a lot on this forum..

[NB; their rear bag is a rack top.. ]

You just have to push them back far enough, of course they have to be smaller ones ..

plan B: seatpost beam rack mounted panniers.. you also gain heel clearance by raising the bags .

+ the rear 'kickstand fold' still can be used ..

I like the Carry Freedom City bike trailer, instead of rear panniers , myself.

Interesting stuff, i did not realise reasonable sized panniers could work
The much longer rack on the mezzo should ofter even more heel space to be able to accommodate larger panniers.

There is a system that the mezzo qr luggage is based on that accepts panniers.
The system is called tactuff
And they make a range of panniers that go straight on.
Guess I will have to be the mezzo mug that potentially wastes money finding out if they work.

Got me RE- thinking...
