I sat the Origami saddle on to of the Planet bike ARS and when looking straight down you can't see the Planet bike ARS at all.

87gerG: It sounds like your experiments with different saddle arrangements are paying off. I wonder though, when riding with the ARS saddle atop the origami, as you show here:

Does the ARS stay in place easily if you shift fore and aft or stand out of the saddle? I would worry that it might fall off.

+1

it seems to be precariously balanced there and not even mounted to the seat beneath it. i am all for increasing comfort while riding but, safety first. please.

A lot of times with the written word it is hard for me to discern sarcasm... So I'll just say that the photos of the saddles are for size comparison only, at no time did I or would I ride like pictured.

thomasw33
didn't buy the Planet bike ARS because "it looked to bulky for the bike" and having owned an Pb ARS saddle before I knew that it was about the same size as the Origami saddle.

Funny, I think they were serious.

Not following what you are trying to say. The ARS seat looked large, I never saw one in person, just at Amazon. It looked like a large seat, I decided to buy a seat that I had seen in person instead. If I had seen the ARS seat in person I might have bought it, if it looked and felt right.

thomasw333 I was saying that the photos were for size comparison. And the sarcasm remark was about the 2 people that posted about me riding with one saddle on top of another. So I was explaining to them the reason I took the photos like I did. I knew you didn't see it in person as it is very close to the same size as the Origami saddle.

Right everyone understood why you took your pictures and is it great to get a side by side look at things. I think those other posters were having a laugh. I don't take forums too seriously.

After awhile you start to figure out who the wise guys are...

Thank you very much for the entire thread and ongoing reviews of the updates to the stock Origami Crane. I will take your advice about the cables and brake pads when it comes time to replace those.

I forgot my gloves and had numb hands by the time I got to work this morning and it was almost 50 degrees! I much prefer riding in colder weather, especially when I am properly prepared.

Never mind the cold, enjoy the mud.
York, england
City that floods........
Downtube fs9 available in non standard brown colour!!

The city flood defence system works well , but it leaves the paths along the river ,where I tend to ride, covered in slint etc.

Myrtle Beach is cold. I am from Southern California and after ~9 years in Myrtle Beach, I still cannot get used to the cold.
