Can't help but wonder?

I have been bitten once with el'cheapose, but I can't help but wonder if. I'm familiar with Bikes Direct, but not Folding Bikes Direct. Anyone dealt with these people?

No, but I find a couple things on their website interesting:

1. Quick perusal does not reveal the manufacturer of these bikes, or even the model other than "value" or "premium."

2. 2-yr warranty on frame & fork, but only 90 days on parts?

Hmmmm.

They remind me of GreenZone of years past but rehashed with a new web-face.

Bikes Direct have a store around the corner from where I live. I wanted to know if anyone is familiar with and if Folding Bikes Direct is in anyway linked. Would be nice to know if they are.

So dude. Come on now. Let an old guy have his way .

I would love to know the logic behind selling a bike for $249 if it "compares to" a $799 bike. This is interesting marketing deception and nothing explains what "compares to" even means.
