    Touring on a Swift?

Hey, the Xootr web site has a great picture of a Swift fully loaded front and back, for touring:

    http://www.xootr.com/gallery_swift-f...?pictureId=201

From the caption: "Ron does a lot of touring with his Swift and sent in this picture of his bike loaded up. He packs it into a 31" Samsonite hardshell suitcase. Some of his changes include Shimano Alfine 11 hubs, Sun Rhyno Lite rims, and Schwalbe tires."

This is pretty much exactly what I'm considering. I'm wondering if Ron hangs out here, because I'd really like to get in contact.

    Thanks,

    Mark

PS: Any Swift owners in the Seattle / Everett area reading this? Would you mind letting me take a test ride? I've not ridden on 20" wheels yet and I really ought to before buying one.

CAT/HPM in Eugene makes a steel version of the Swift , so a custom option is available .
Jan likes JIT manufacturing rather than a large ready to ship inventory.

and they are on the southern end of a commuter rail line, to visit, from Seattle..

and there is the Bike Friday makers in the same town..

Alan and Co. also make their bikes as the order is placed.

So, you may get BF racks and have the fittings on the HPM -Swift as it's built.
