different size tire on folding bike

does anybody use different size front -rear tire on folding bike? for example 20x1,5 on front and 20x1,75 on rear, or vice versa? for some reason maybe?

Yes, because it looks cool. 20x2.125 back and 20x1.50 front on a cheap folder I ride to get the mail with. Roger

For a while, I ran 26x1.5 front, 26x1.75 rear on my commuter (non-folding) bike... because I tore a sidewall on the rear 1.5 and got a deal on a closeout 1.75 tire at the bike shop...

My Bike Friday came with 20 x 1 1/8" tires. When I used it for loaded touring with all my camping gear in panniers on the rear rack I switched the rear tire to 20 x 1 3/8" to better handle the added weight.

the ones that were on it [BF P Llama] are still great so havent changed them

406-47 Schwalbe Marathon Plus. still Oodles of tread left.. so No reason to change them ..
did put in thorn resistant tubes..

rather than a different tire for cushioning , I like the Suspension Seatpost choice.. .
