Making adjustments to the 2-speed derailleur of the Brompton

What I thought was a problem with my 3-speed hub turns out to be the 2 speed changer. The chattering I got before I believe now was coming from the derailleur and not the 3-speed. Funny, enough though changing the gears on the 3 speed hub did rectify it. Perhaps both need attention. Anyway, I can't get the chain to move from the larger sprocket (lower gear) to the smaller sprocket (higher gear). I watched the short video on the Brompton's web site and downloaded their PDF file and will try to adjust it this morning. Has anyone tried this on their own Brompton? Is it easy or is is a chore? At least I can't break anything trying -- I hope, at least, considering I am mechanically challenged . If I can't get it sorted, then I will bring it to the bike shop.

Cheers
Wayne

you mean this video? https://brompton.zendesk.com/entries...eed-derailleur..

& PDF https://brompton.zendesk.com/attachm...me=2_speed.pdf

did you get the part about opening the cover and moving your coat to the higher peg

oh wait thats from Python's 'Meaning of Life' Film..

but the placing the ferrule support in another notch seems brilliantly simple.

Actually, the whole process was brilliantly simple. A little tweak here and a little tweak there and wallah. Took it for a test ride -- sweet shifting . One little trick though. When making the adjustments, you have to make sure that both inner uprights of the chain pusher don't rub against the idler on each side or there will be eventual wear. The clearance is so small. I used a piece of a business card as a gauge. Other than that -- a piece of cake.
