Sounds fun but I don't do Facebook. We boycott it for numerous reasons; it's not even accessible on our network. Wish you'd chosen a better venue.

Ok Peoples, the projected group ride is from Oakland to Treasure Island via the Bridge on either Oct 11 and 18th. I haven't made the ride yet myself. I imagine it would be windy

I live in Long Beach,south of LA.I ride a brompton and have been exploring the idea of using it on Amtrak to travel.We don't have any folding clubs local but taking the time to come up by train and going on one of your club rides sounds like it would be a great way to have some fun.I will follow your site and see what works out.

The 11th would be better for me. AFAIK, making it to Treasure Island would require great long-jumping ability and a parachute until they get the last remnants of the old bridge out of the way. But we could ride to the end of the bike/ped path.

Ok guys and girls, first group ride is this Saturday. Meet at the IKEA parking lot to take the Bay Trail onto the Bay Bride. May be windy..I haven't ridden it but I'd imagine. Let's meet a 1pm (unless someone really can't make that time then speak out). Hope to see you and your bike!

Nice ride with some great folks. Tougher then I thought on the way there but such a joy on the way back...such is life. Another group ride in the works soon
