Dahon Vitesse D8 or Giant Expressway1: Which foldable bike should I get?

Hi! New guy here.. Would really appreciate your inputs on this..
Few additional details: The Dahon is significantly more expensive than the Giant bike (around 150 USD more expense), but the Dahon is already available at a local bike shop while the Giant one is going to be available in another couple of weeks.. it's my first time to buy a foldable bike (I'm a noob, basically lol) and I can't really tell if the Dahon is worth blowing the extra 150 USD now, or if Giant is the better deal that's well-worth the extra wait?

first of all.
if the bike shop has a Vitesse D 8 ... than its a custom bike which doesnt exist ...
I assume u are from the US where Vitesse comes in a 3 speed version and a 7 speed version, both have Internal gears ( cans )
the Giant has a derailleur gear
The Vitesse come with fenders, carriers, schwalbe tires, pretty nice components ...

You cannot compare the two bikes ... not by price for sure ...

I could probably ask the shopowner, he seems pretty convinced that they're carrying the D8 (they have a D7 too).. a quick google search did indeed turn up more results off online stores based in europe, but it seems to be available in the US too: wiggle.com | Dahon Vitesse D8 2014 | Folding Bikes
yes you're right, they can't be compared by price... but to make the long story short I was hoping somebody would tell me which of the two would net me a better bang-for-my-buck

well I am talking USA here....
Wiggle Ltd. 2014
Wiggle Ltd. 3 Optima, Northarbour Spur Portsmouth, Hampshire, PO6 3TU, United Kingdom
Company No:: 2667809 | VAT No:: 884 2571 94
There are no facilities for customer collections at this address.
Executive Director: Stefan Barden.

aint so much USof A ....

in the US this bike is NOT available....

You would need to compare the Giant to a lower price bike like the Dahon Vybe which sells for a 100 dlr less , or with a Speed D 7 which would be the same price but with fenders and carrier .. If you do that than the Dahon is more bang for the buck
The Vitesse is a much nicer bike ...
Meaning if you really want to ride a lot than the extra $ would also mean more bang for the buck. If you dont ride so much and just occasionally want a short 5 mile ride .. than it doesnt make sense to spend the extra money

Hi

Didn't mean to hijack the thread. Is the Speed D7 the same as Dahon vybe but without the Fenders and Carrier?

thanks.

The Dahon Vitesse D8 is a great bike, I can assure you it exists, certainly in Europe, cant see any reason why the odd one does not pop up now and again. Dont know anything about the Giant. Only you know your needs and your budget but you wont be disappointed with the Dahon.
