Moulton APB Frame

So my 16 year old APB frame broke the other day

It seems to be similar to this thread https://www.bikeforums.net/folding-bi...ulton-apb.html

Anyhow, I'll see what my frame builder says about fixing it, but it may be time for a custom built TSR

It was too long ago to remember, sorry. My best guess is it was between $150 and $100 which included the paint job. If it is important I could have a look to see if I have the invoice with all my bike paperwork.

No, it's not important. Just checking out options for repair and/or replacement.

my first thought would be to contact moulton and find out what they can do for you.

Not a lot - GBP300 for a new rear triangle unit
Still, mustn't grumble as the bike has done a few years of service as my everyday goto bike.

Well that price is cheaper than buying a new bike.

In an ideal world a new Moulton and replaced rear triangle Moulton for back up would be nice.

Good luck with your decision.

Got the repaired part back from frame builder.

Fixed
  • the original break
  • right side dropout and reinforced the frame
  • Added a disk brake mount
