fietsbob passes 40k
well, when i went to bed last night, i noticed fietsbob was at 39991 posts. i thought i would offer him a little congrats on his 40,000. however, i missed it and fiets has blazed on with 44 more comments since this morning (and i'm sure he's not done yet.).
at any rate, i'm sure you'll all want to join in on belatedly congratulating captain fietsbob on an astonishing 40,000 posts here on bikeforums.net!
here's to 40,000 more, fietsbob! cheers!

How many of those 40k posts mention your Brompton with Schlumpf Mountain Drive? Must be at least 10%.
Still haven't worked out if you are a crusty old Dutch guy or just a distant crusty old Dutch descendant or just a crusty old guy who likes the Dutch word 'fiets'.
Zo, ben je Hollands, of niet??
PS You're not half as crusty as I.

Congrats to FB; unlike poster no. 3, I think more than 3 of FB's posts are legible (and intelligible), . But I sure as heck am not going to read all 40k of those posts to figure out the answer to that!
I'm a little concerned though that FB hasn't chimed in on my latest thread, https://www.bikeforums.net/touring/96...uld-i-buy.html
Hopefully he's not slipping up now that he's hit 40k plus in posts.

Well done fietsbob - quite a milestone!
I have gone back through the archives and I am working my way through fietsbob's body of work - as I write this now at 40,055 and counting. I am up to February 2011 - there is some good stuff in the early days - highly recommended. I am eager to see how the tone or style evolve over the years.

Liked the Airport. visited NL a few times , but came back for my Parent's funerals ,
& moved to a place quite similar to AMS in temperature Thru out the year, on the water.
Grolsch and Heineken are both good and so are many of the Flemish Belgian beers

Another 15% are some variation of,"all frames are made in the same place and just have different names stuck on them".

I wonder how many keyboards he's had to go through! Congratulations to fietsbob for reaching the milestone in only 4 years.
I notice that 10 wheels has around 26,000 posts to his name and he joined earlier in 2007. Still this is nothing to be sneezed at either.
