Bike Pump and Tire Gauge
My Brompton Bike(tires) require 100 psi. I bought a Blackburn pump that has a gauge but I'm not too confident in it or myself(afraid of popping the tube). I tend to let the air out of the tires and then start to inflate, hoping the gauge would give me a better reading. I also always seem to loose some air when I take the pump hose off. Any recommendations a good pump with a accurate gauge and a quality hand held pressure gauge. Thanks in advance..Joe

This SKS Airchecker gauge works on presta and schrader valves, and has proven accurate for me. I've checked it against about 10 different gauges and it's right in the middle of the bunch. Before you statisticians hop in here and tell me that it doesn't mean anything and that the entire bunch could be high or low as a group, I accept that possibility. At least there are ten samples to compare against, not just one or two.
I've had a Lezyne floor pump with a gauge (which is one of the ten) and it also works on presta and schrader valves. So far it's been reliable and it matches readings with my pressure gauge so they both must be right!

May I ask a stupid question about what accuracy do you need?1PSI or 10Psi or 0.1Psi?

Any quality pump should have a gauge that is 'good enough'(for anyone not in competition). The pressures listed on the sidewalls are always conservative to prevent people from popping their tires. Pumping to the max as shown on your pump's gauge isn't going to hurt anything.
