Folding Bike Thefts in Oakland

So if the price seems too good to be true, be aware..

Maybe an ad that reads something like this..

BROMPTON BIKES 4 SALE

Bruce,

May be time to add some locks to your place!
------------------------------------------------------------

Surprised they didn't at least take them out of the area - especially to sell in 'bulk'.

Must have taken a bit of time to get all those bikes out the door and onto a truck. Inquiring minds want to know: Did they fold them to save space?

Lou

That's too bad. I bought my Brompton from that store. I hope they recover the bikes.

Noticed that the 'poster' has taken down that Craigslist ad.

Also, you'd think that a bike shop in Oakland would have significant security in place (like atleast 2 or 3 Freds).

[I spent four USAR summer camps at Ft Cronkhite in the late 60's, including 1967 - The Summer of Love.]
