New Fenders!!!

Kinda pointless now that Rain has become rare again in California. But, I do like this set better than my previous SKS Fenders. More low profile, PLUS!!! undo one side of your wheel's Quick Release and they are off.

Toolexpress | Rakuten Global Market: Aluminum Mud Gaurd(for 20 inch) black (weight only 105g) [DA025MG] DOPPELGANGER

One thing I modified was the main rod. I cut off about an inch so that they would hug the tires REAL tight.

Wow, you just made your cool sleek bike a notch slicker! Nice work! Please post reviews on how well they are for moderate rain when you do encounter the rare shower.

as fancy as they are to me they just don't seem like effective fenders in a real rain besides just for looks. The front can be moved to only prevent splatter on the chainring and everything else would fling to your top tube. While the rear feels entirely useless since it will still fling it all over your seat tube, seat as well as the drivetrain.

The sks fenders aren't pretty but they are setup for full coverage along the entire wheel as well as extra mud flap extenders so absolutely nothing hits you but clean rain water. I rode my folder in drenching rain before and at the end of the ride there was zero grime on the drive train and frame. All I had on it was water which I cleanly wiped off with a cloth while my buddies road bike was just sand and grit all around the place. But then again you are in California which is a moot point while up here, there is ALOT of crud and after the snow melts it's just nasty without full fenders until the rain washes away the mess.

Yeah, those look even less effective than Raceblades. The front will be ok as long as you don't bomb any hills at speed, but I can def see fling coming off the rear onto the rear of the bike and into the front derailleur.

I really want to like those, but like the others have said, I wonder about their overall effectiveness, especially the rear. Very cool idea and definitely an improvement over your previous fenders!

I can't imagine them staying in place after hitting a bump.
