    I guess now I am a roadie.

I haven't been around here much recently - last post was June - but I used to be a regular here. I first joined in Feb 08, I have posted 400 or 500 hundred times here. I bought my folder a few days after.

In march I started GPS tracking all (most?)

It got used for everything: commuting, up to 50km/day; a couple of trips to brighton .. 100km rides around the place. After I rode the Dunwich Dynamo on it, I rewarded myself with a road bike. So the Mezzo got relegated to occasional commuting, down the shops and for travel.

I recently migrated all my rides on different tracking systems over the years to Strava. And yesterday my total mileage on the road bike passed my mileage on the mezzo.

So now I am more than 50% roadie.

50% roadie, there is nothing wrong with that just so long as you dont wear Lycra and dont ignore all other cyclists who say hello/wave at you as you pass them.
Fit Kojaks and drops or bull bars to the Mezzo and that will even up the balance a bit more. Out of all my bikes, its the large wheeled, non-folding touring bike I use the most.
How did you get on riding the Dunwich Dynamo on the Mezzo?

I like my bullbared, 27 speed, road bike close ratio up to 114", slick high pressure tyred, carbon cranked, spd pedaled, tigra brifter equiped mezzo.

However it's also got a rack, mudguards....
It's been past many a lycra clad roadie.
Lately I seem to have the lungs of an asthmatic tortoise...
Must be the bikes getting old.....
Dual drive Mezzo (GOLD), Dual Drive Mezzo with bullbars (black), White Brompton thingy with Dahon Androes stem and bull bars. Birdie (old sytle) 7 speed. Downtube NS8. Birdie red.

Well, the lycra comes with the territory. I do long rides, so I dress for them. I wouldn't roadify my mezzo, it has it's life as my pootle vehicle. Pop down the shops; pop it in a cloth bag with my clothes and fly to Australia; put on skirt and boots for a coffee etc. all would be spoiled by turning it into a 2nd road bike. No longer a fan of Kojaks, had too many side wall cuts. Have a folding Kojak in the shed for international travel, though.

    DunRun ... it was fun!

turns out the mezzo wasn't going to take this lying down. First ride after the above postings, it threw me off. The front wheel came out of its quick release, and now I have a broken clavicle. Bugger.

Sorry to hear that jefmcg, get better soon.
I didn't explain myself very well earlier, I meant how did the Mezzo handle the distance on the Dunwich Dynamo? Was it comfortable over that distance? Were you able to keep a comfortable pace on it or did it become slow and inefficient?
A friend did it last year on a Brompton and had a good time.
