tube for 23-406 tyres?

Got a pair of SCHWALBE ONE tyres 23 - 406 (20 x 0.9). Also got a pair of inner tubes (SCHWALBE SV 6A) for them. The problem is the inner tubes were leaking right after I put them on without any actual riding! And yes both leaked. I am not sure whether they are too delicate (65 g) to be damaged so easily or I am just not lucky. I have changed other inner tubes and this never happened before. And I really don't like the Presta valves on them as they are so easy to be bent or leaking accidentally. So is there any alternatives available (I guess tubes for 25 - 406 are also ok)? I am really having no faith in these SCHWALBE SV 6A tubes.

Did you put the tires and tubes on with only your hands or did you use tire tools. If you did use tools you probably pinched the tubes. Take the tubes out and see where they are leaking. That will help know what is causing the problem. Roger

+1) I expect your installation techniques pinched a Hole in the tube..

Fit Schwalbe number 4 A/V in my Brompton's tires the tubes are fine.

VAR portable Tire Jack Tools are quite good with tight tires .

Did you find where the leaks were coming from?

Here is on possible cause: If your rims were designed for Schrader valves, you may have cut the tubes at the base of the stem when you inflated the tubes.

You can always use these when using Presta valves in Schrader rims.

Thanks for the replies, I think it's probably my mistake when installing the tubes because I used two spoons as tyre levers since I couldn't find my tyre levers. The spoons have relatively sharp edges.
