soooo much bike porn!

I'm very angry that there is nothing like this in the bike shows in my city. just full sized bike and maybe ONE folder if i'm that lucky. I would be saving up cash for the year and then go to that show and have that wallet burning badly.

Taipei is the Hub of manufacturing the stuff .. hence the Trade Show site.

Interbike happens in a Las Vegas NV convention center , that is the North American Bike trade show.

Thanks for the pics! Folding bikes are *interesting* aren't they? Not like boring roadies and MTBs, all the same frame with different paint jobs. All of the real frame innovation happens away from the racing scene. But lacking the big money of the racing scene.

That's been posted before. I really can't see those two stiff alloy beams giving a decent ride, even with fat tires.

+1
I am bored of mainstream bikes. I don't tend to be interested in saloon cars in the same way. I am more interested in ulitity bikes, apadted, small wheeled......
Mountain bikes are fun, road bikes are best on the road, but mile after mile wearing replica team lycra clothing seems odd to me. Different folk........

Guess this is the main reason I ride a birdie when folding it on a journey is irelavate.

Pacific was well represented, some interesting color schemes on the Birdys. Their front end also made an appearance on the LGS… Wonder if R&M's patent has run out.

What was the 5LINKS like in the flesh? The fold looks like it would give the Strida a run for it's money, but might handle a bit more conventional. Then I got to the carbon fiber Strida. Lovely bit of design and engineering

In folderland I've gotten rather bored with the bivalve Dahon type folds, so was pleased to see a lot of innovations in fold design. Now about that Ford thing.

Whatever patents Riese & Muller might have had on the original Birdy design would have expired some time ago. Rhine has been making a 20" copy of the Birdy for a couple of years now.
